Sr System administrator-Unix
5-7 years of experience working in systems administration environments
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to write Shell scripts (Perl) to automate systems administration
• Ought to have working knowledge of (Sun Solaris 10/Zones) Unix and (Red Hat)
• Experience managing competing priorities and ability to work in team or independently
• Must have solid LDAP/DNS administration skills
• Working knowledge of Veritas Volume Manger/File System

Unix System administrator is sought to work in a large enterprise environment. The primary functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
• Support of a multi-platform Unix and Linux Server Centric environment
• Maintain business applications, oracle databases and infrastructure related applications
• On call support (part of rotation)
• Implement system analysis, capacity and strategic planning for the environment
• Partake in disaster recovery planning and testing for managed systems
• Provide support of Symantec (Veritas) Volume Management & File Systems application, SAN Storage, DNS/LDAP administration and Perl Shell scripting
